BIG NEWS (drum roll, please) = Nielsen Studios???
It’s now official. I am the company formally known as Nielsen Photography.
There’s a new name – Nielsen Studios, and a spiffy new logo* to go with it. Oh and don’t forget the brand new website** nielsen-studios.com. The new branding reflects a growing vision for my business, and a bit of growing up – me realizing that I have more to offer than a great digital image.
I believe the creative spin on life – and on marketing stuff, more specifically – works best when done as a team, and I enjoy being a part of that whole spin cycle, beyond the creation of an image.
So there it is – the reason for the new name.
So what’s next for you and me? Simple. Let’s get together, team up and do some compelling, creative story-telling!
So you know, while the name’s a little different, there’s a lot that hasn’t really changed at the red shed Nielsen studio. You’ll still find great photography, dry humor, a soft heart for my fellow humanity… and a soft spot for soft-serve ice cream (that may explain other soft spots).
Best wishes!
Shawn Nielsen
* I want to give serious and heart-felt props to the guy who helped me create my new brand identity, Matt Schnell of MattSchnelldesign.com – he crafted a logo that really captures who I’ve become, and maybe who I’ve yet to become (which is a little scary, really).

Scott,
Many thanks. Back at ya from this big scandanavian guy. All parties involved did an incredible job!
Shawn, congratulations! This is a great step for you, and a natural move forward on a career track that seems boundless. I value our creative partnership tremendously, and I know others do as well. I’m excited to see where this next stage takes you – and us!
Also, I want to say Matt did an outstanding job with the brand development, logo design and web design – I really think it captures who you are creatively, and nicely showcases your ideas and work. I love how the color themes work with your portfolio. Props as well to Todd for making it all work. The iWays platform is a great fit, and the seamless integration with your blog is a nice touch.
Again, congratulations!
