The Quiet Crow.

I headed to the quaint towns of  Hanover and Rockford, on May 4th, to photograph a few images of the Crow River. Having grown up on this river, I’ve always felt a desire to photograph its simple beauty.  Just thirty miles or so outside of Minneapolis, is a river with quiet,  muddy, hardwood filled banks and shores.  The tranquility of the Crow has always amazed me. Few homes are perched near the banks, making it feel as though you have the whole world to yourself.  The morning could not have been more pleasant, with fog lifting lightly off the water, and the gentle babbling as it flows down river.

My soul needs the river;  it is restful and yet alluring…

What does your soul need?

  1. Ahh Bob. I love your words. You brought to life even more the essence of that morning.

  2. My soul needs refreshing. I really think you captured the essence of Mark Twain’s river in your photos. They make a person want to take off his shoes, roll up the cuffs of his pants, sit down on a log and dangle their feet in the water, letting all the worries of the world just slip away.
